A Season of Premieres and Classics
The season kicks off with two Grosvenor Park premieres that are sure to captivate audiences.
Outlaws: A Robin Hood Story reimagines the classic British legend with a fresh twist. Playwright Kieran Lynn, known for his work on Gangs of New York, brings a feel-good energy to the stage, offering a unique take on the beloved tale. Running from July 3 to August 23, this production promises to be a highlight of the season.
Let The Sun Shine! is an uplifting drama by Helen Redcliffe, running concurrently with Outlaws. This heartwarming play will run from July 10 to August 23, offering a perfect balance of emotion and entertainment.
Star-Studded Casts
The productions feature an impressive lineup of seasoned actors, including David Ahmad, who takes on dual roles as King John in Outlaws and Arthur in Let The Sun Shine!. Annabelle Aquino shines as Marian/Cloud, and the ensemble is rounded out by Rebecca Bainbridge, Lucas Button, Lawrence Hodgson-Mullings, and Sorrel Jordan, each bringing their unique talents to both shows.
Family Fun and Interactive Adventures
For the little ones, the season includes a special family show, Peter Pan, running from July 28 to August 13. This walkabout production promises an interactive adventure, bringing characters like Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook to life for children under eight and their families.
Co-Productions and Collaborations
The season also features a co-production with Shakespeare North Playhouse and Keswick's Theatre by the Lake: Jessica Swale's Olivier Award-winning Nell Gwynn. Directed by Bryony Shanahan, this new staging will run from August 21 to September 6, showcasing exceptional talent from the National Theatre, the RSC, and leading producing theatres.
